HH FOUNDATION- TEXTILE MUSEUM

It is a cultural space that seeks to rescue, preserve, display and disseminate the different processes of textile processing. Through a museum discourse that incorporates the study of textures, designs, techniques and creative processes, of old pieces such as modern textile art. In addition the Textile Museum of Oaxaca offers workshops, exhibitions, courses and other activities didactic directed to artists, weavers, embroiderers, students and general public.

SAN PABLO CULTURAL CENTER FOUNDATION HH

The place is the old monastery of Santo Domingo de Soriano with the title of "San Pablo". A rescue was recently carried out, which alleviated the original structure and recovered 90% of the high and low corridors of the convent, part of the church and the total of the Chapel of the Rosary. In addition to fulfilling its functions as Cultural Center, the east side of the set a light and reversible metal structure, which refers to the ephemeral nature of a scaffolding and which commemorates the old cell cricket lost in the opening of the Fiallo street.

oaxaca etnobotanic garden

The Garden is part of the Santo Domingo Cultural Center, formerly the old Convent that was built in the XVI and XVII centuries for the Dominican friars, just where the old orchard of the convent was located. A from the mid-nineteenth century until 1994 served as a barracks and was occupied by dormitories, parking lots, sports courts and other military facilities.

Plants from different regions of the state, such as arid, humid climates, low tropical areas and temperate and cold mountainous areas began to be planted in the garden from 1994 to 2010; this is how the garden represents the great diversity of climates, geological formations and types of vegetation that characterize Oaxaca. Research, education and conservation of the state's flora is also carried out; have a nursery, a seed bank, a herbarium and a specialized library on flora, vegetation, ecology, natural history and ethnobiology.

MEZCALOTECA

Mezcal is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from any type of agave plant native to Mexico. In mezcaloteca they promote mezcaleros teachers and their traditional processes of production.

Mezcales and agave distillates found in the Mezcaloteca catalog come from different states of the Mexican Republic and have met all the requirements to be cataloged within the universe of traditional mezcales.
